About LARC

La Asuncion Company Limited began as a service provider after Dr. Javier Reyes realised the need for imaging services in the private sector. This need materialised and on January 13, 2001, the clinic opened for business under the name of La Asuncion Ultrasound Center, offering ultrasound studies and general consultation services. 

In 2009, after eight (8) years in business, it was registered as a business name as La Asuncion Radio diagnostics Centre and expanded to the provision of x-ray, mammogram services and medical laboratory services. In 2011 the business was finally incorporated into La Asuncion Company Limited with Dr. Javier Reyes and Mrs. Amanda Reyes as its major shareholders and directors. The shareholders have three (3) kids. Their eldest, Mr. Edwin Reyes, is currently the Medical Laboratory Technologists with a Biochemistry Degree and their second son is currently studying to also be a Medical Laboratory Technologists. Currently, the eldest and second born are minor shareholders.

 In 2015, the medical laboratory department was incorporated into La Asuncion Biochemicals Ltd.
Since 2011 to present the company has been offering ultrasound, x-ray, mammogram, EKG and medical laboratory services. Presently, the clinic is well equipped with up-to-date equipment to provide these services with highly trained personnel to ensure the deliverance of the highest quality of health service. 

The clinic currently has a well-equipped imaging and x-ray facilities and infrastructures, and a phlebotomy room, waiting room, bathroom for general use, and bathroom in the imaging area of the clinic, general receptionist area, a ramp and well secured and fenced property with a security guard.

On July 2023, La Asuncion Company Limited signed a contract with Social Security Board-NHI for the provision of NHI services as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) to the citizens of the Orange Walk District.  Registration of patient-members commenced.

On November 2023, La Asuncion Company Limited commenced offering NHI services as a Primary Care Provider.  La Asuncion Company Limited signed a contract for support services, namely for Imaging Services and Laboratory Services.
